Julia Child's Coq Au Vin

Coq Au-what? Coq Au Vin is a French dish whose name literally translates to “Rooster in Wine”. This dish came about in France when the rooster had stopped crowing and fertilizing eggs, and thus it was his time to go! They cooked him up in wine (which made the meat tender) and this delicious dish was born. This dish has no specific known time origins, but it was first noted in a French cookbook in the mid 1800’s. Julia Childs adapted her own version which is what you will find in this link.

Chicken Pot Pie

Pot pie is a hearty meal! It’s a thicker version of chicken noodle soup – without the noodles. Basically, if you love to add crackers or oyster crackers to your chicken noodle soup, you will LOVE chicken pot pie because the crackers are built into it with the crust!

Perfect for a cold day, homemade chicken noodle soup will blow you away. Not only does it taste fantastic, but it leaves you in charge of the ingredients that you use for every step. You will take pride in knowing you made this soup, from scratch to finish! Enjoy!
